Rockler is seeking a Marketing Analyst to join our team.   You will be a key part of the joint Marketing-Internet team, working with both the online and offline channels.  This includes our Marketplace channel and Retail/Catalog mailings.  Critical to your success will be strong analytical skills, a solid multi-tasking orientation, a teamwork orientation along with outstanding communication skills. 

The Marketing Analyst supports the development, implementation and ongoing maintenance of marketing program to improve customer acquisition, retention and sales.  Analyzes statistics and reports to identify areas to optimize performance.  Collaborates with internal teams and external vendors to review data, make decisions and execute marketing programs. 

This role will actively manage product listings and digital advertising campaigns on Amazon, eBay and other potential marketplaces.  In addition, this role will support customer segmentation planning and execution of retail, catalog mailing & email events. 

This role will gain exposure to ecommerce marketing, circulation planning and direct mail processes.  The person who does well in this role will have strong analytical skills, be attentive to details, be organized to meet deadlines and be a good communicator.

DUTIES

Marketplaces

  • Manage sponsored advertising campaigns on Amazon & eBay.
  • Analyze reports from Marketplaces and present findings.
  • Partner with ecommerce team to ensure corrections/changes to product feeds are made as needed.
  • Monitor retail offers, trends & pricing from competitors in the same marketplaces.
  • Watch marketplaces for errors, alerts and inquiries that may affect sales performance

Customer Segmentation

  • Support retail and catalog campaigns, coordinating steps with list processing vendor & list broker and internal partners according to plan.
  • Work with list broker on new customer acquisition plans for print pieces. Keep list performance spreadsheets up to date and organized efficiently. 
  • QC approvals, name selection for mailings, segmentation setup, setup test panels, and hold files according to plan.
  • Maintain & optimize spreadsheets to track ongoing performance for prospects & house mailings
  • Coordinate emails tied to offline mailing events.
  • Help prepare presentations of marketing results and ad-hoc reports on request.
  • Verify, process and track invoices related to these tasks

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A. or B.S. degree (marketing, finance or mathematics majors preferred)
  • 2+ year's work experience in marketing analytics a plus
  • Previous Amazon/eBay experience desired
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Critical thinker with strong analytical skills
  • Well organized with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Outstanding communicator, both written & verbal skills
  • Team player, with a service mindset
  • Skilled in MS Office, Excel, in particular
  • SQL, Power BI and/or Tableau experience preferred
