Job Description: Sales Manager

We have recently expanded our Denver, CO, store location and looking for a Sales Manager to help build our team and drive success!

The Sales Manager is responsible for establishing and elevating the Rockler sales culture within a retail store by following our shared values of: Customer Experience, Innovation, Integrity, Teamwork, and Fun!

Are you interested in woodworking or DIY projects? Do you enjoy helping others? If so, this may be the perfect job for you! Duties:

  • Ensure that each customer receives outstanding service by providing a guest friendly environment. This starts with a warm welcome and continues by assuring the customer acquires what's needed to successfully complete their entire project.
  • Recruit, hire, develop, and lead high-quality associates. Oversee their product knowledge training and execution of our proprietary selling program on the floor.
  • Actively monitor and impact store performance; influence store metrics by developing and carrying out improvement initiatives.
  • Lead merchandising activities in the store, including promotional item / key selling area sets and routine planogram updates. Ensure that exceptional recovery and signage standards are met every day.
  • Develop and execute local marketing events (classes, product demonstrations, etc.) and events that attract new customers to meet sales objectives.


  • 1 to 3 years previous retail sales experience, preferably with a similar product line.
  • Prior supervisory/leadership experience is strongly preferred.
  • S. degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration or related field desirable.
  • Knowledge of woodworking supplies and hand/power woodworking tools preferred.
  • Ability to work a 50+-hour work week, as required.
  • Ability to motivate team members for top performance.
